Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We've written it in plain language — no wall of legalese.

AI Ops Playbook is operated at support@bettersai.com.

1. What Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

Account information

  • Your name and email address, provided when you sign up

Payment information

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data directly. You can review Stripe's privacy practices at stripe.com/privacy.

Usage information (optional)

  • If Google Analytics is enabled on the site, we may collect anonymized data about how visitors use the site (pages visited, general location by country, device type). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Cookies

  • See Section 6 for full details on cookie usage.

We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as health information, government IDs, or financial account details beyond what Stripe processes on our behalf).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver the service — give you access to your membership content and templates
  • Send emails — transactional emails (receipts, account notices, password resets) and membership newsletter/content emails
  • Process payments — through Stripe, to handle subscription billing
  • Improve the site — using anonymized analytics data to understand what content is useful

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract — processing your name, email, and payment to fulfill your subscription
  • Legitimate interests — sending you content and updates related to your membership
  • Consent — for any optional data collection (such as Google Analytics, where applicable)

4. Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted third parties:

These services may process your data on our behalf. We only share what is necessary for them to perform their functions.

5. Data Retention

  • Active subscribers: We retain your account data (name, email, subscription history) for as long as your account is active.
  • After cancellation: We may retain your data for a reasonable period to handle any billing inquiries or disputes, after which it is deleted.
  • Deletion requests: If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days of the request, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only.

  • Authentication cookies — set by Ghost to keep you logged in to your account
  • Session cookies — set by Ghost to maintain your session while you browse

These cookies are necessary for the site to function. You cannot opt out of them while using the service.

We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party marketing pixels.

Google Analytics (if enabled) uses anonymized data. IP addresses are anonymized, and we do not use Google Analytics features that identify individual users. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Data Transfers

AI Ops Playbook uses Ghost Pro and Stripe, both of which are US-based services. If you are located in the EEA or UK, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

These transfers are made with appropriate safeguards in place. Ghost Pro and Stripe participate in frameworks and use contractual protections (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure your data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection law.

8. Your Rights (GDPR and General)

Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to our processing of your data in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children

AI Ops Playbook is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@bettersai.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and notify active subscribers by email if the changes are significant.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
